INTERPOL's 2024 reporting identifies Black Axe as a Nigeria-linked transnational syndicate associated with financial fraud, human trafficking, drug smuggling and violence. Operation Jackal III targeted multiple networks across many countries; its total arrests and recovered funds cannot all be attributed to Black Axe.
